First Artifact

My first artifact that will help me  in my research and with writing  my musical is Steven Sondheim's Finishing the hat. In this book, Sondheim offers lyrics to many of his songs, and explains his writing process for lyrics and music in great detail. Another useful artifact is Broadway: The American Musical, a PBS documentary which details the history of Broadway, from the late 19th century till now. It goes into a great level of detail, as to the history of each musical and the process of its writers.
